Global Solar Energy Corporation Selects City of Sacramento for its

U.S. Headquarters and Sales and Marketing Office

Sacramento, CA — August 3, 2011—The Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization (SACTO) and the City of Sacramento jointly announced today that Global Solar Energy Corporation, a subsidiary of Youil Ensys, a Korea-based photovoltaic and solar energy manufacturer, has leased 3,000 square feet of office space in the Bank of the West building located at 500 Capitol Mall for its ten-employee U.S. headquarters and sales and marketing office. Global Solar Energy Corporation is a manufacturer of trackers used in utility-scale solar panel applications and plans to further expand into the Sacramento Region by adding manufacturing and distribution operations in the future.

The Sacramento Region was chosen because of its strong position in the U.S. photovoltaic market, its proximity to the state’s policy-making hub, and the support it received from the many regional partners that assisted the company in the site selection process. Global Solar Energy Corporation’s President Richard Ko stated, “Global Solar Energy Corporation is excited to locate in the City of Sacramento and looks forward to building valuable partnerships in the region.”

“We are pleased to welcome Global Solar Energy Corporation to the Sacramento Region. The company’s decision to locate here further solidifies the region as a major player in the solar industry and, coupled with announcements such as the Brookings Institution recently recognizing Sacramento as a leader in clean technology talent, we look forward to many more companies choosing to locate in the Sacramento Region,” said Ann Madden Rice, Chief Executive Officer of UC Davis Medical Center and Chair of SACTO.

SACTO would like to thank Patrick McGuire with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, Bill Swettenham and Ben Harris with CB Richard Ellis, Mayor Kevin Johnson and Melissa Anguiano from the City of Sacramento, Angelo G. Tsakopoulos with Tsakopoulos Investments, and Greg Levi with Jones Lang LaSalle for helping the company land at this location.
