SACTO-Assisted Company Chooses Region Over Other States
Sacramento, Calif., June 25, 2012 - The Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization (SACTO) proudly announces the location of Advanced Call Center Technologies, LLC (ACT). This will be the second local operation for the company and is expected to ultimately bring 2,000 direct new jobs to the Sacramento Region.
ACT provides back office support services for companies in the financial services, communications, and technology industries. Represented by Skip Vanderbundt and Mike Muljat of Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank, the company recently signed a lease for 87,000 square feet of office space to begin operations in the third quarter of 2012.
"This is great news for the region and represents much needed job creation at a critical time," said Ann Madden Rice, Chief Executive Officer of UC Davis Medical Center and SACTO Board Chair.
Sacramento was one of five cities (Kansas City, KS; Tallahassee, FL; Fond du Lac, WI; and Weldon Springs, MO) considered in a national search for the new facility. The company selected Sacramento because of its experience at its existing facility in the area, the availability of a qualified workforce, and the benefits of locating in an Enterprise Zone.
The project enlisted the assistance of many partners at both the state and local levels and could not have succeeded without the support of the City and County of Sacramento, the City of Rancho Cordova, and the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GOBiz).
"This project demonstrates companies' desire to locate in our area, bringing with them new jobs and ultimately improving our economic health," stated Phil Serna, Sacramento County Supervisor.
SACTO would like to give special thanks to Mather Kearney of GOBiz and Troy Givans from the County of Sacramento for their support and coordination in facilitating the project.
