Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization (SACTO) Announces Company Locations and Expansions in the Sacramento Region

Yesterday SACTO welcomed and honored 11 companies that have located or expanded in the Sacramento Region over the past year at its annual Salute to New Industry luncheon. Honored companies included: Advanced Data Centers, AEE Solar, ALLDATA, Badger Ladder, Drexel University Center for Graduate Studies, Enfinity Corp, Frontier Wind, Gregory Mountain Products, OptiSolar, Siemens Mobility, and SMA America.

These companies will bring almost 1,800 new direct jobs and $736 million in capital investment into the Sacramento Region. Overall, due to the ripple effect, these companies are expected to contribute a total of over 4,000 jobs, $817 million in output, and $263 million in new employee compensation to the region’s economy. Nine of the 11 companies can be classified as high value, supporting over 98 percent of the total honored companies’ employment.

“SACTO’s business attraction and marketing efforts focused on the clean energy technology sector are clearly paying dividends,” stated Toosje Koll, SACTO Chair and Managing Director of Resources Global Professionals. Six of the 11 companies fall within the clean energy technology industry, accounting for nearly 90 percent of the total jobs supported by the honored companies. The clean energy technology companies alone will bring almost 1,600 new direct jobs and $633 million in capital investment. The economic ripple effect is estimated to produce over 3,600 jobs, $747 million in output, and $241 million in employee compensation. With nearly 60 percent of SACTO prospects now in this sector, SACTO expects this trend to continue.
